Join Us in Celebrating 60 Years of St. Stephen Lutheran Preschool!
We’re excited to celebrate St. Stephen Lutheran Preschool’s 60th Anniversary all year long, and we’d love for you to be part of it! Throughout the year, we’ll be hosting a variety of fun and meaningful events to honor six decades of this special preschool community. Whether you’re a former student, parent, or friend of the preschool, we warmly invite alumni and families from all years to join the celebration! Saturday, August 23 – Summer Carnival from 11AM-3PM: Come and enjoy a day filled with exciting activities, games delicious food, and entertainment for the whole family! We will also be unveiling our newly updated playground. Let’s kick off our 60th anniversary preschool program year with laughter, community, and fun!

Sunday, September 7 – “God’s Work. Our Hands.” this powerful phrase is used by the ELCA to emphasize service, compassion, and putting faith into action. We plan to sing at local nursing homes and would love if your family joined us!

Monday, September 15 – Community Meal from 5:30-7:30PM: 100% of the donations collected at these dinners benefit the preschool or one of the ministries of the church. Menu TBD and will be shared through our social media accounts closer to the date. What to expect besides yummy food – face painting, dance party station, Lego or game station, and mingling, a time for preschool parents, grandparents and congregation members to socialize and build community.

Saturday, October 4 – Blessing of the Pets: All Creatures Great and Small Are Welcome! Join us for a special Blessing of the Pets service in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment. This is joyful celebration of the animals that bring love, comfort, and companionship into our lives.

Saturday, October 11 – Board Game Night with Potluck Dinner from 4-8PM: a family friendly night where everyone brings a dish to share and we will have a multitude of games to choose from.

Sunday, November 2 – All Saints Sunday: Join us for this special service honoring our loved ones that have passed away this year.

Monday, November 17 – Community Meal from 5:30-7:30PM: 100% of the donations collected at these dinners benefit the preschool or one of the ministries of the church. Menu TBD and will be shared through our social media accounts closer to the date. What to expect besides yummy food – face painting, dance party station, Lego or game station, and mingling, a time for preschool parents, grandparents and congregation members to socialize and build community.

Monday, November 24 – HART (Historic Area Religions Together) Interfaith Dinner & Service at Walsingham Academy: Join us for a meaningful evening of unity, fellowship, and shared faith at the annual HART Dinner & Service, bringing together people of different religious traditions from our historic area. This is a beautiful opportunity to celebrate what unites us, honor our diverse traditions, and build lasting connections across faiths. All are welcome—bring a friend and a spirit of openness!

Saturday, December 6 – Board Game Night with Potluck Dinner from 4-8PM: a family friendly night where everyone brings a dish to share and we will have a multitude of games to choose from.

Sunday, February 1 – Winter Carnival from 2-4PM: This beloved annual preschool event is sure to be a family favorite! Lots of fun games throughout, prizes to be earned, a delicious Cake Walk, a snack bar, face painting, and cute photo ops. Please bring a can of soup to donate to SOUPer Bowl of Caring. Tickets will be available closer to the date.

Tuesday, February 17 – Community Meal: Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast from 5:30-7:30PM. 100% of the donations collected at these dinners benefit the preschool or one of the ministries of the church.
